Retrofit Metal Siding Panel Systems

Factory-insulated metal wall panels can be the logical solution for over-cladding an aging out-of-date appearance and/or a failed exterior finish system. They usually add insignificant additional dead load to the existing structure while increasing thermal resistance with an insulated panel core. The added insulation is on the outside where its performance is more efficient, and a twenty year finish and weather-tightness warranty is available.

These metal wall panels have no exposed caulk in the panel joints making it a “dry-seal” system. This exterior metal surface will remain cleaner and newer looking than one with caulked joints. Life cycle costs are lower due to greatly reduced cleaning costs.

Finally, factory-insulated metal panels are a pressure-equalized rain screen cladding system that allows the backside of the panels to be ventilated. The equal pressure inside and outside of the panels prevents moisture from being pulled into the wall cavity which occurs when a completely sealed exterior cladding system has a caulk failure. The ventilated wall system also helps prevent mold inside the cavity which can contribute to the “sick building” syndrome.

Retrofit Aluminum Composite Cladding Systems

Aluminum composite material (ACM) cladding systems are the most design-flexible of the metal panel industry. They are available in the largest to the smallest sizes and shapes, can be curved to radius the most economically, have the greatest strength-to-weight ratio, and are virtually the flattest panel material available. Their high-performance finishes have up to 20 year warranties. All of this makes ACM an ideal choice for retrofit cladding.

Retrofit Metal Roofing is the majority of our Retrofit Division projects. With our roots in structural steel framing, our in-house engineering has the ability to design, engineer and furnish structural support systems for metal roofs and walls.

With our Panel and Curtainwall Divisions adding metal wall cladding and glass and glazing systems to our scope of work, it becomes a well-coordinated turn-key package and a trademark that our company has become known for.
